Dormitory Room Inspection Program

Penn Building Services can provide a time tested, three-step, high qualified inspection program, which provides an exact picture from detailed information on each Dorm room’s new penn 06exact physical conditions.

Step 1: Move-out Inspection Report

Our Team of highly qualified, trained inspectors perform a detailed inspection of each vacated dorm room after the move-out period using our customized maintenance checklist. Every aspect of each dorm room is checked, noting all needed repairs.

PBS then provides a detailed spreadsheet report consisting of the following trades:

  • Plumbing
  • Carpentry
  • Electrical
  • HVAC
  • Floor Coverings
  • Window Glass/Coverings
  • Masonry/Painting

The Move–out Inspection report can be distributed to each Trade Supervisor to complete the repairs.

Step 2: Work Verification Report

After the Move-out Reports, listing repairs are completed. PBS performs a re-check to verify all completed work is satisfactory, noting jobs not done, PBS will issue a Pending List Report which can be sent back to the Trade Supervisor for completion.

Step 3: Final Inspection Report

PBS ends the program with a Final Inspection Report for catching last minute problems that need attention before the new student & parents arrive for move-in. Final inspections generally prevents those “bad” move-ins, where letters get written to the president.
